Celebrating its new showroom in spectacular style, Bernhardt welcomed a whopping 1,800 guests, including designers, retailers and tastemakers, to the opening of its bold, modern renovation on Saturday, April 26. Cyril Jefferson, mayor of High Point, North Carolina; Tammy Covington, CEO of High Point Market Authority; and Jon Pertchik, CEO of Andmore, were among the many notable names on hand to mark the start of a new era for the brand following 136 years in business.

“This showroom showcases our passion for design,” said Alex Bernhardt Jr., president and CEO of Bernhardt, who was joined by his daughter Annabella; chairman Alex Sr.; vice chairman Anne; and cousin, COO and president of Bernhardt Ventures William Collett. “It is a stunning new home that offers the perfect backdrop in which to present our furniture and collections, and it will also inspire every person who tours it.”

To set the festive mood and fill the dance floor, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and all-around music legend NileRodgers, along with his band, Chic, serenaded the crowd, performing such classic disco anthems as “Le Freak” and “We Are Family.” Afterward, the party continued at Bernhardt’s soon-to-be iconic in-house club, where a DJ spun tunes while a light show cast revelers in a rainbow glow.
