High Point University students once again brought energy, professionalism and fresh perspectives to the Bernhardt Furniture showroom during the Fall 2025 High Point Market. Working alongside industry veterans, the students gained hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, design and client hospitality while supporting Bernhardt’s sales representatives across multiple regions. Their time in the showroom offered a close-up look at how a major brand operates during Market.
From developing real-time sales pitches and guiding designers through the showroom to assisting reps with client outreach and learning the intricacies of product knowledge, these students experienced the fast-paced environment of one of the world’s largest home furnishings events. Their work not only strengthened essential communication and business skills but also deepened their understanding of the furniture industry—preparing many of them for future careers in design, sales and entrepreneurship.
