As part of the Fall 2024 High Point Market’s Designer in Residence celebration with Elle Decor, Bernhardt treated Rana Salah, Managing Director at Golden Glam Interiors, to a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Morocco. Rana and her husband immersed themselves in the captivating beauty of Marrakesh, savoring its vibrant culture and idyllic weather.
Their journey began at Riad Nyla Wellness, a tranquil haven in the heart of Jemaa el-Fna square. The Riad’s exquisite tile work and intricate wooden carvings perfectly reflected Morocco’s renowned craftsmanship and hospitality.
From wandering through Marrakesh’s lively markets to marveling at the city’s iconic gates and arches, they explored the rich tapestry of Moroccan, Islamic, and Berber influences. Highlights of their adventure included the serene Agafay Desert, scenic rooftop views, and the unforgettable flavors of Moroccan cuisine with Al Fassia Guéliz standing out as a culinary favorite.
