Oct 15 2019 [Happenings](https://blog.bernhardt.com/tag/happenings)   ![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/103-jpg-1571066944.jpg?width=980&height=652&name=103-jpg-1571066944.jpg)   If you judged this book signing by its cover, then you can call it a smashing success. Steele Marcoux, Editor-in-Chief at Veranda magazine hosted a book signing and discussion for Entertaining at Home by Ronda Carman inside the Bernhardt Gallery at Birmingham Wholesale Furniture. During the October 1 event, 75 local interior designers, industry insiders, and entertaining experts discussed entertaining trends and traditions as they reviewed copies of Carman’s book.  During the event, guests sampled drinks and snacks inspired by the recipes in the book and entered to win a piece from Bernhardt’s collection. After the drawing, President and Chief Executive Officer, Alex Bernhardt, Jr. presented the winner with Bernhardt Calla Round Chairside Table. ABOUT THE BOOK [*Entertaining at Home: Inspirations from Celebrated Hosts*](https://www.rizzoliusa.com/book/9780847866014/) features gatherings in the homes of “...leading tastemakers from the worlds of interior design, architecture, culinary arts, and society…” Lynn Wyatt, Suzanne Kasler, and Julia Reed top the list of fascinating inclusions within this photography-rich guide. They explain their ideas for arranging flowers, stocking the pantry, setting the table, selecting menus, and other entertaining tips. From first looks to the last drink, the signing brought together a good book and great people. - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/127-jpg-1571067182.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=127-jpg-1571067182.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/127-jpg-1571067182.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=127-jpg-1571067182.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/130-jpg-1571067392.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=130-jpg-1571067392.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/130-jpg-1571067392.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=130-jpg-1571067392.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home Book Signing with Bernhardt & Veranda](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/144-jpg-1571067212.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=144-jpg-1571067212.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/144-jpg-1571067212.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=144-jpg-1571067212.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/198-jpg-1571067241.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=198-jpg-1571067241.jpg)](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/198-jpg-1571067241.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=198-jpg-1571067241.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/031-jpg-1571066781-1-1.jpeg?width=1200&length=1200&name=031-jpg-1571066781-1-1.jpeg)](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/031-jpg-1571066781-1-1.jpeg?width=1200&length=1200&name=031-jpg-1571066781-1-1.jpeg) - [![Entertaining at Home Book Signing with Bernhardt & Veranda](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/228-jpg-1571067109.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=228-jpg-1571067109.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/228-jpg-1571067109.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=228-jpg-1571067109.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/007-jpg-1571067276.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=007-jpg-1571067276.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/007-jpg-1571067276.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=007-jpg-1571067276.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/116-jpg-1571067017.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=116-jpg-1571067017.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/116-jpg-1571067017.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=116-jpg-1571067017.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/070-jpg-1571067304.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=070-jpg-1571067304.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/070-jpg-1571067304.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=070-jpg-1571067304.jpg) - [![Entertaining at Home book signing at Bernhardt](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/133-jpg-1571067151.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=133-jpg-1571067151.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Happenings/Entertaining%20at%20Home%20book%20signing/133-jpg-1571067151.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=133-jpg-1571067151.jpg)   --- Follow us on ## Sign Up For Bernhardt News Discover everything Bernhardt, from styling inspiration and new product launches to market news and events.
