Forbes Masters
For its third iteration, Bernhardt Furniture’s iconic Designer in Residence showcased a cutting-edge vision from the dynamic Forbes Masters duo at the October High Point Market. A design team based in Atlanta, Tavia Forbes and Monet Masters are known for their contemporary, unique, and compelling interiors.
Forbes Masters creates eclectic and bold interiors, so they conceived a future-forward, modernistic interpretation of Bernhardt’s creative legacy, highlighting design excellence and a vision that pushes beyond the ordinary.
Their innovative vision for the Bernhardt gallery was inspired by Fhloston Paradise, a luxe tropical resort featured in the futuristic sci-fi movie, The Fifth Element. Bold color and layered patterns crafted a moody and eclectic look in an entry, lounge, and bedroom. The four elements of earth, water, fire and air were represented, as well as the duo’s own take on the “fifth element” – a female-centric future.
The otherworldly and stunning spaces were celebrated with a launch event that featured a high-energy DJ, food and drinks inspired by The Fifth Element, and an opportunity to be featured on a “cover” of House Beautiful, the events co-host. One lucky designer also won a trip to Paris, an homage to the city where Forbes Masters first met Bernhardt’s creative team.
