After earning his B.A. from Columbia College in Missouri and working as a musician, Sindler began his formal art training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He continued his studies at the School of Representational Art, a French-style atelier, from 1997 to 2001. Initially influenced by Monet and the French Impressionists, Sindler’s early landscapes emphasized light and color. His work later evolved toward American Tonalism, characterized by subdued palettes, simplified forms, and harmonious color relationships. Sindler has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions, including at the Salmagundi Club in New York, the Door County Plein Air Festival, and the Cedarburg Plein Air Competition, where he has received numerous awards. | | --- | --- |         ---   - [![\_V4A2779](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2779.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2779.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2779.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2779.jpg) - [![\_V4A2783](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2783.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2783.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2783.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2783.jpg) - [![\_V4A2770](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2770.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2770.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2770.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2770.jpg) - [![\_V4A2791](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2791.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2791.jpg) Hover message](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2791.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2791.jpg)     ---   - [![Techny Park](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2837.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2837.jpg) Hover message *Techny Park*, 2023 36" x 36" Acrylic on Canvas](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2837.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2837.jpg) - [![Baileys Moon](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2836.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2836.jpg) Hover message *Baileys Moon*, 2024 36" x 36" Acrylic on Canvas](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2836.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2836.jpg) - [![Early Evening, Liberty Grove](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2834.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2834.jpg) Hover message *Early Evening, Liberty Grove*, 2021-2025 36" x 36" Acrylic on Canvas](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2834.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2834.jpg) - [![Amsterdam](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2835.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2835.jpg) *Amsterdam*, 202636" x 36" Acrylic on Canvas](https://blog.bernhardt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bernhardt%20Curated/Emails/HPMKT%20Fall%202026/Artist%20in%20Residence/_V4A2835.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=_V4A2835.jpg)     > [View this post on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DekecxVB6kw/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) > > [A post shared by Bernhardt Furniture (@bernhardtfurniture)](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DekecxVB6kw/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)     > [View this post on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DefbHCDRP0c/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) > > [A post shared by Brian Sindler Artist (@brian\_sindler)](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DefbHCDRP0c/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)     > [View this post on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/DemQeZ0Ef9q/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) > > [A post shared by Brian Sindler Artist (@brian\_sindler)](https://www.instagram.com/p/DemQeZ0Ef9q/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)     [LEARN MORE ABOUT BRIAN SINDLER](https://www.briansindler.com/)     --- Follow us on ## Sign Up For Bernhardt News Discover everything Bernhardt, from styling inspiration and new product launches to market news and events.
