The Pinnacle Awards were created in April 1995 by the International Society of Furniture Designers (ISFD), to promote design quality and encourage the recognition of furniture designers within the retail home furnishings industry.
As such, the awards are intended to celebrate furniture design and are open to any designer or manufacturer worldwide. Awards are presented each fall at the High Point Furniture Market.

The Maya sofa and chair 1/2 use a balance of materials to create a generously sized and welcoming seat. The frames are woven in abaca with open wooden legs that wrap from the front to the back. The back panels are upholstered, and the seats include a bench cushion and back pillow.
