Kelley Estes joined Bernhardt as the Spring 2026 Artist in Residence, exploring the enduring beauty and resilience found within sculptural forms.

Kelley Estes

A Nashville native, Kelley’s artistic career spans painting, sculpture and interior design. Her formal training includes classical studies at the Charles Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy, as well as studies with William Schultz, Master Pastelist and oil painter. Kelley also trained extensively in sculpture under Dr. William Doak, founder of the Bluefield Foundry.

Additional fine art studies were completed at the Corcoran Museum and School of Art in Washington, D.C., and she holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University. A significant commission includes a series of 22 works created for the American Friends of Chantilly at the Château de Chantilly outside Paris. Kelley has presented multiple solo exhibitions featuring pastels, oil paintings, and marble and bronze sculptures.
